Lancashire Heelers!??

What is a Lancashire Heeler and where would you even get one?

While looking through several breed books, five in fact, we found this perfect breed!

We wanted a dog that was small so it would be easy to take it places. One able to go on a long walk or jog, but quite when we needed to work or wanted to relax and just hang out.

Another "must" was....Low Maintenance! When we read about the Lancashire Heeler we knew that this breed was perfect for our family!!!

Then came the search to find a breeder. So onto the Internet we went and found we did, Kay Critchlow's wonderful Web site! To our dismay, there were no breeders in the USA. So after much travail we decided to import a puppy. Kay was wonderful and so helpful in helping to calm our fears and questions as to the safety of shipping our new family addition! We welcomed Doddsline Penelope to our family, September of 2002.

What love and joy Penny has brought to our family! Since then we have imported 4 more puppies. We had the first litter of Doddsline born in the USA. We have kept one puppy from Penny's first litter, a beautiful male, Ferdy, who looks almost exactly like his daddy, Pippin.

We feel blessed to have found this wonderful breed and to have found several friends in the UK that are so willing to help us get off on the "right foot" in promoting Lancashire Heelers, here in the United States of America!
